Statistically, older folks are pretty hesitant to go into debt with a credit card. They are much more likely to pay the full amount every month if they have one. They worked hard for their money, and they aren’t fooled by the idea of spending now for a sale if it means they’ll get socked with a percentage added onto it later.
But even the older folks have learned to use a debit card the same as they would use their check book. When they are getting their discounted coffee at Burger King or their discounted movie tickets at the theater, that debit card makes their life a little easier too.
