The beauty of accepting credit cards is that it puts the Net 30 into the customer’s hands. Now he has 30 days to pay or else he will get a late fee; or, he has the option of making smaller payments with interest. In any case, you have already received your payment, so you are out of the loop and on to the next sale.
Compared to the amount of staff time that it takes to chase after a customer, the credit card processing fees are pretty low.
